Projections Design: Jacob Joachim

Stage Manager: Caelum Janski

The Cherryfield Toy Company was a Student Written, design oriented, immersive production. Rather than a typical sit-and-watch model, audience members walked with the performers and watched the story evolve around them.

This added a unique challenge to the construction of the set and lighting components. Most of the show was lit by practicals, and a high level of attention was required to ensure an aestetic, realistic finish on each room.

As the Production Electrician for The Cherryfield Toy Company, I was in charge of allocating power and data to all lighting fixtures, as well as power for audio and projections.

This position also involved re-drafting the lighting plot, load calculations, practical design and construction, and being on call during performances in the event of a malfuction.

I was also charged with designing a cue light system that performers could use to communicate show progress back to stage management.

This production spanned two venues, and required over 130 practical units, including 8 window light boxes. There was also an enormous need for set-mounted fixtures, practical and otherwise, requiring extensive collaboration with the scenic shop.
